365 Questions

5 Additional (and Very Meaningful) Ways to Use this Book

Date Night

What’s difficult in competitive environments? Keeping balance with your loved ones. I’ve challenged coaches to use these questions on a date night to break the routine of normal conversations and grow deeper in understanding each other’s journey.

Family Night

What are we not taught in school? Self-awareness and how to ask deeply insightful questions. When you ask your family these questions, it allows everyone to better understand one another. That’s valuable in learning about your own socialization and how the people you live with are processing their own socialization in real time.

Journaling

Journaling codes your brain. It’s how you hardwire thoughts and make lasting connections. I’ve encouraged coaches to journal for 5 minutes a day using these 365 questions. It helps you think about how you think and why. As your perception evolves, so does your behavior.

Leadership Council Journaling

As mentioned earlier, journaling codes your brain. Have your leadership council journal their answers to questions once a week (or more) for 5 minutes. It’s an efficient way to capture their thoughts. Ask them if it’s okay for you to read their answers, then follow up informally to gain more clarity and show that you are listening.

Recruiting

There’s a great line: “With enough information, everything makes sense.” These questions can serve as prompts for deeper conversations with your recruits, giving you a competitive advantage. Very few people explore themselves on this level. Everyone talks about the importance of fit—this helps you discover that.
